Oh, I guess I should explain my race. I’m sure you’re all like whaaaat? While race does play an important role in how we engage with the world, I have found that my experience is “I exist and then people react with pre-conceived notions according to my phenotype.”

In other words, race for me, is more of an external experience than an internal one. Half of the time, I don’t even realize I’m a physical being. I identify more with being a fantasy that happens to occasionally possess a corporeal form. Additionally, I’ve spent a majority of my life traveling and engaging with different cultures, so my perspective and approach to life is definitely unique. Although I definitely identify as a woman of color, I have hated the concept of race from the beginning. The last thing I want to do is have my discussions and content bogged down by dumb-ass conversations that I never consented to.
